Some of My Thoughts

You may not care what I think. That's okay. I may not care what you think about what I think. :-P~

Time flies when the sky is falling.

So It's almost six months since my last post.
Where has the time gone?
Away.
What did I do on my summer vacation?
I don't remember.
September was very busy
I drove over 3,000 miles, but if you know me, you already know that because I am sure I have repeated it ad nauseum to anyone that would listen.
My baby sister is about to have a baby! any minute! I can't stand the suspense!
Why is it when you buy something you could really do without, something you really need breaks?
I should really start writing stuff down. I am beginning to forget things. Like people dying and stuff and a year or two later I forgot that they died. Its kind of embarassing... "how's so and so doing?" "He/she died." "Oh, no!, when?" "Two years ago." "Awkward!!!"

Podcasts

I have to recommend two podcasts that I am enjoying.

One is the Elf and Dwarf at www.theelfanddwarf.podbean.com

and Nobody's Listening at http://www.nobodyslistening.net

The first is mostly about World of Warcraft and other Roleplaying games.

The second is a couple of goofy guys who are sharing their life stories and encouraging us to share with them.
Which I have done in Episode 17.

so stop by and listen up.

Adventures in Coldness

So I was sitting in my office, minding my own business, when someone brings me a box...What could be in this box?

Rocks? What on Earth is this person doing with a box of brown gravel?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Well, what do you know? It's Diet Pepsi! a victim of the frigid temperature in Michigan!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was curious about the red smudge on some of the Pepsi rocks. Until...

I found the culprit, and the survivors of a night in the trunk.

I just had to share this with you all.

Thanks for stopping by,
Now get back to work!!

Cold Enough For You Yeti?

So for the past week I've been freezing my tushie off... And that's a LOT of freezing... Badum bum.
The heater core on the van was clogged and the heater control valve went south last week, although we've not had heat for a couple months and the radiator went three weeks ago. I was able to pay for repairs on the valve but the core will have to wait since I was given a quote of over $300 for labor and I just don't have it. I now have partial heat, which is okay when its like 30-40 degrees F, outside, but when the temp has been in negative double digits, it makes not so much difference. my feet still get numb and I am wearing two pairs of pants and three shirts plus a sweater and jacket, two hats (with two hoods) and two pairs of gloves to drive around town. To top that off. the temp in my office is around 57 - 60 degrees F. so I leave on the sweater.

Been a knitting fool too. Finally got the KAL done:

and a couple of grandma's favorites as well as working on a craft project from Lion, a celtic themed trivet using icord. But since none of the stores around me had the 5 inch spool knitter, I just used my size 5 DPNs to do the job. will post final pic when complete.

Other than that I am just very tired and unusual for me but I have a headache today. I would really like to go lay down.
Hmm... maybe I will.

January KAL Progress

Here it is, folks! My KAL for January... so far. It seems to be going well. I only had to frog one row, because of miscounting.
I had a cold last week and the Burning Crusade expansion pack came out a couple days ago. I was 2nd in line at the store to receive mine. Then I was up until 3:45 a.m. playing. But I made up for it ahead of time by knitting 8 dishcloths over the weekend. of course most of them stayed at Mom's and one went to DH's cousin, but I like to share. I met some new friends who like the game, so thats good, more peeps to play with.

Christmas mouse story

So I get up on Christmas morning and its about 6:30 am. I'm walking through the living room and looking at the clock and thinking...." Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, because I poisoned him." So I let the dog out to do her business, and then I let her back in and turned on the dining room light.. and there on the carpet was... a dead mouse. What a coincidence.

SD is having a nice time at EPCOT for Christmas. I'm so glad she had an opportunity to go. The Lord provides in His own way.

and now... back to work.
